Getting ready for the holidays? I know I am! And with a busy life, active children and two careers, I need things that WORK and WORK FAST! So when I discovered this wood cleaner, I knew I would have to share it with you all!
I was super-hesitant to try this at first, as our home is filled with heirloom wood pieces from the early 1900’s (?) that feel like they weigh about 2,000 pounds each- I’m talking real wood, not the stuff typically on shelves today… so when I read about a mixture of olive oil and essential oils as a wood polisher, I had my reservations.
So go ahead and do what I did, start with a spot test in an area that wouldn’t be noticeable if you decided you didn’t care for the result. Eyeball it and make sure you like it and then go to town!
For me, I was shocked with the result. This recipe coated my old wood and made it feel like silk. Amazing.
Here’s what I used:
1/4 C Organic Olive Oil
10 drops of a proprietary blend of Orange, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin and Spearmint Essential Oils
Mix together; add a bit to your microfiber cloth and prepare to be dazzled! Just imagine how great this is going to look when the Christmas tree lights are gleaming and bouncing off your shiny wood 🙂
